Job Requirements and Description(Required)
Requirements:

- Currently possess their American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- At least 16 years of age (15 years of age are considered with certain exceptions)
- Physical mobility to properly use aquatic equipment to rescue a 200 lb. person and meet other physical requirements required for job certification.
- Must be mentally alert to dangerous situations to assure the safety of all swimmers.
- Must be physically and mentally able to respond to emergencies and administer CPR and First Aid effectively.

Other Job Duties can include:

- Provide a high-level of customer service to members, program participants and guests at all times
- Supervise and guard the pool and aquatic facility and ensure participants adhere to all aquatic guidelines and procedures.
- Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment.
- Perform appropriate water rescues, when necessary, using rescue techniques and equipment.
- Contact emergency medical personal in case of serious injury.
- Monitor Front Desk Check In station and verify members and/or guest.
- Performing swim test for our youngest swimmers.
- Straighten pool deck furniture and make it ready for the next member.
- Clean restrooms, club house, and other areas of the club.
- Successfully complete all opening and/or closing duties listed for each shift.
- Adhere to scheduling procedures and properly notify of days you are not available.
- Provide assistance for event set up and shutdowns.
- Able to be on time for each shift and remain alert throughout your shift.
- Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger.
- Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations.
- Maintaining order in swimming areas.
